Your Strada Agent is running—but to keep remote access smooth as your team grows, follow these best practices.

1) Choose the Right Computer

  • Apple Silicon (M-series) Macs deliver the best results for on-the-fly video conversion.

  • Mac Minis / Studios are ideal for 24/7 hosting; laptops work too.

  • Windows PCs with NVIDIA/ATI GPUs are supported—higher-end cards give better playback.

2) Locate the Agent

  • Mac: Agent lives in the top menu bar; if hidden behind the camera notch, Command+Click to move it.

  • Windows: Agent is in the system tray. Fully expand to see controls.

  • Red Dot? Quit → restart → re-login. Always keep Agents updated.

3) Optimize Power & Setup

  • Stand-alone computers work great—no monitor required.

  • On laptops:

  • Disable sleep mode.

  • Enable wake for network access.

  • Prevent external drives/RAIDs from sleeping (restart after changing).

  • If drives do spin down, Strada will wake them—playback may pause briefly.

4) Use a Hardline Connection

Connect your Agent host via Ethernet for best performance.

  • Strada adapts quality to bandwidth, but wired connections are more stable.

5) Learn More & Get Support

  • Watch Episode 44 on the Strada Tech YouTube channel for performance demos.

  • Check performance tests on our website.

  • Join weekly onboarding sessions or our Discord for Q&A and feedback.

The Bottom Line

A properly optimized Agent host means faster playback, reliable access, and smoother collaboration for your entire team.
