Can a firewall prevent the Strada Agent from working?

Written by Austin Case

Because Strada is peer-to-peer - firewalls, VPNs and remote desktops can impact the performance. Some firewalls will allow for viewing, browsing and transferring, but block the player from launching - while other configurations can impede player performance.

We find most of these issues happen behind network controlled solutions but can be configured to work. If you think you are running into a network configuration issue, please email [email protected] to set up a support call.

To ensure Strada is accessible through your Firewall, here are the Strada port configurations:

p2p port range: 49152 to 65535 UDP.

The OS assigns the port. Here is the documentation on ports from IANA, but the short version is that, the ports from 49152-65535 are the dynamic ports that are available for the OS to assign https://www.iana.org/assignments/service-names-port-numbers/service-names-port-numbers.xhtml

STUN port: 3478 UDP
RELAY_QUIC_PORT port: 7842 UDP
