Overview

Strada Connect is a Virtual File System that allows you to access any connected Strada Agent (computer, drive or folder) that you've been invited to. By accessing files in the Finder, Strada Connect allows you to drag+drop files from remote computers directly into your local applications.

Strada Connect is in beta and should only be used for testing and exploration purposes. Please use caution and keep backups of any important files while testing Strada Connect.

Installation Procedures

The Strada Connect Beta Agent cannot run concurrently with the production release of Strada. You will need to disable your main Strada Agent in order to run the Strada Connect Beta Agent. The Beta might have some bugs that inhibit other functions in Strada. So if you need to open up the normal "production" release of Strada, you'll need to TURN OFF the Beta in order to run the production release of Strada

• Open your current (release) Agent Dashboard

• Click the Settings (gear) menu

• Choose "Turn Off Agent"

• Right+Click the Agent Dashboard Icon and choose "Quit"

Current Limitations - Version 2026.2.12-2

The Strada Connect Beta is new and should only be used for testing. Some current limitations as of Version 2026.2.12-2

• Strada Connect is READ ONLY

You can drag+drop FROM Agent directories in the finder into your local applications, but you cannot yet drag+drop files BACK TO remote Agents in the Finder (WRITE functionality will come in a future update).

• Strada Connect is a DRIVE SNAPSHOT

When you mount Strada Connect to your Desktop, you will be able to see every file that's available at the moment you mount the virtual file system (VFS). If new assets are added to remote Agent directories, they will not be visible in the VFS unless you go back to the Agent, unmount the Strada Connect VFS, then re-mount the Strada Connect VFS. Auto updates of new files will come in a future update.

• Strada Connect may require relinking

If you drag+drop files into your NLE, if the S

• Strada Connect Beta will require many updates as we continue developing. Automatic Updates is the default setting. Updates will unmount the Strada Connect VFS. Since this can be disruptive to your workflow, we recommend disabling the Update Automatically button so your Strada Connect VFS is not unmounted during routine maintenance. However, it's important to stay up to date and "Check for Updates" on a regular basis because new updates and improvements will be deployed on a regular basis. It's important to be up-to-date in order to provide feedback.

• Join the Strada Discord and make sure to provide feedback in the strada_connect_vfs channel.
